Natascha Ampunant received her undergraduate degree in communication design from the University of Applied Science in Krefeld, Germany, in 2001. In 2004, she acquired an MA in studio art/electronic media at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, USA. Several group and solo exhibitions in the US

and Brazil followed. Natascha Ampunant was awarded numerous prizes and scholarships, the latest of which she received from the German Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen in 2006.

"Three Pennies for your Thoughts"
- a discussion with women artists

Frankfurt's maecenia foundation will be presenting the works of three women artists in Frankfurter Kunstverein. For the discussion, the artists will be joined by two curators who are researching recognition processes as well as the real and imaginary working conditions of the profession "woman artist."

Natascha Ampunant created this installation during a five-week working residence at the Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh. In her works, which she creates through digital and analogue processes, Ampunant explores the relationship between line, surface, shape and dimension.
